Comments made by Republican California Rep. Dana Rohrabacher in a Tuesday radio interview suggest he has information that would absolve Russia of allegations that it hacked the Democratic National Committee.
Rohrabacher met with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange two weeks ago in the Ecuadorian embassy in London where Assange took asylum after facing now-dropped sexual assault charges in Sweden.
Rohrabacher told The Daily Caller recently that Assange promised him information about who was behind the DNC hack that the American intelligence community has said Russia was involved with.
In the interview, Rohrabacher told TheDC that once he obtained this information and determined that it is significant, he would “bring it directly to Trump.”
